Help needed! Does my base have a split? How can I sort this?

I don´t think that´s the truth.
In my oppinion it is decisive how many times you re-install the system.
The hairs will still be quite good after nearly years, but the system itself will tear apart as a result from cleaning, maintenace ...
Somewhere here I already said that a UTS with 0,04 will last for maybe 10-20 times reinstall. It depends how careful you are etc

Thanks for the recomendation!I saw some repair tapes in shops I´ve ordered. Walker Base Tape for example.
I think these tapes stick one-sided. How long it will last , whether it´s good etc I don´t know

This is a 0.05 poly thin skin with lace front. I did have a UTS before this one and like you say it was very brittle. I'm not really sure how this little split happened as I am always super careful during maintenance. Maybe it happened when I was taking it off but didnt happen whilst I was cleaning it.

I use surgical tape to tape up any holes in the poly unit I’m using. Lasted 3 more weeks and still going.
