HEllo all,

I posted here once before, i guess a year ago but no one responded to my queries. Since then I have been on Rogaine and it has been an on and off thing. These days the condition of my hair is extremely bad. I got the prescription for proscar by a doctor but I never used it fearing its side effects. Im 21 years of age but the hair loss is getting worse. I need your honest advice my friends, please help me getting the right medicine and shampoos.

Upon reading your threads I found out about Dr. Lees medicines. Let me know which ones are the best to purchase and If I should use his minoxidil or Rogaine. Waitinf for your replies.

Thanks

Swallow your fear........and while your at it maybe the Propecia. You Doctor did prescribe it right?

You hair is in bad shape because of the on and off thing on the minoxidil. That is one of the worst things you can ever to do your hair.
DR Less is good, but if you aren't having problems with the minoxidil why switch?

Thank you so much.

I appreciate your advice and recently I have been strict with the use of Minoxidil and taking it on time. Just to speed up the process and make for what I have lost since the on off use of minoxidil, should i use spironolactone or what other things people have been talking about. Let me know if nizoral is something I should take along with propecia.

Please suggest me something which can be a great combination. I highly respect your suggestions and hope to hear again.

Thanks

Your welcome.

Good, discipline will net you the best results.

So are you going to take propecia again? If so, stick to that. No need to add spironolactone now. Try to keep your regimen as simple and cheap as possible. Nizoral is just fine every 3 days or so. If that makes your hair too dry consider T/GEL.

Good luck, your going to do fine.

I havent added propecia to my regimen yet, but on your advice i certainly will. I have heard about some of its side effects and was concerned if they can become permanend i.e. no kids. I certainly dont want to have that.

If it isnt that bad, I will get it soon as possible. Let me know if Proscar should be taken and how or propecia only.

Here is some reading for you.

first go to http://www.propecia.com , click on the link that says for health care professionals and read about the FDA trials and all of that. You should be fairly informed after that.

then click on this to answer your question about having kids on finasteride.

http://www.hairlosstalk.com/newsletter/article255.htm

I imagine once you do some research you will feel comfortable taking propecia. Notice as well the side affect group for Propecia and the Plecebo group were almost the same. Very interesting don't you think?

Proscar you cut into 5ths and take 1/5th a day.

Propecia you take one a day.

Take one or the other, it doesn't matter. Propecia is much simpler to deal with since it doesn't need to be cut so if money is not that big of an issue go ahead and take Propecia. They both work just as well.
