Hey I am a long time follower of the forums here and this is my first post.
Some obligitory back story: I'm 23 been losing my hair since I was 19. I've tried a few different treatments, everything bar propecia. Up until about 2 months ago I would wear a hat all the time. 4 months into rogaine foam I got my haircut, it ended up being shorter than I asked. My hair didn't turn out to look as bad as I'd expected. Rogaine foam has not reversed my hair loss but I guess the volume it brings to my hair gives me the confidence not to wear a hat all the time, which is brilliant.
Not wearing a hat all the time though has brought with it it's own problems, previously the only time I'd see my hair was in the morning or evening when I was applying some solution that didn't work. And this shorter haircut exposes my hairline and crown more. So now I want to boost my regimen by adding Propecia.
Propecia to the best of my knowledge is not available in my country but Proscar is. So this is where my problem arises. I'm still undecided about getting on finasteride, when I start I'd prefer to start on 1mg propecia so where is the best place to get this online that ships to Europe?
Also is there a big difference in terms of side effects and effectiveness between 1.25mg of proscar and 1mg of propecia?
Another huge question for me is whether I could damage my girlfriend (she's on the pill) by having unprotected sex with her while on finasteride?
Anyway, these forums are a brilliant resource and I'm glad that there's somewhere to get advise on this sorta stuff without people telling you not to worry or making fun of you.
