Hi, all, this is my first post here
I'm 21 y .. I've a thinning hair in the front area due to hermons and that genetic thing.
I thought about using finasteride and minxodil, but I was warned about its side effects. So, I started to use a natural replacement (Saw Palmetto Extract) pills.
I've been taking it for a month but no noticable result yet.
I was thinking maybe it's not enough and I have to use some other effective products.
But I'm really confused, what shoud I use .. what's better ?
Revivogen or DUCRAY day and night spary ?
Any recommendations?
And I need some advice about my decision of avoiding finasteride and minxodil.

There's a topic on this forum "Questions? READ THIS FIRST" and I think it should firstly at least include a link to further research on finasteride which shows how unlikely it is to have negative side effects. For me the widespread news reports on finasteride have made me never consider it, and I've been on minoxidil for 4 years or longer. But I'm now getting some, a 3 month supply (1mg tablet a day), of course I'll be getting more though.

Anyway, that topic I mentioned above, and many other people's directions, simply goes straight into using finasteride as if it's like popping candy, when for a lot of new people this idea of taking finasteride is off-putting to say the least.

Suggestions

My personal experience is that minoxidil has been very helpful in keeping my hair and growing new hair. I apply it twice a day, but I also massage my scalp vigorously when applying it for about 1 min. I have done this for over 10 years and doing both has worked for me. I know people who take finasteride and it helps. But the massaging is suggested to boost whatever you put on your hair/scalp or what you take.

If you post some pictures we could help you with advice. But as everyone else has said, you won't win against male pattern baldness without finasteride and/or minoxidil.
