Hi,
I had been using Rogaine Foam and Finasteride (generic propertia) to treat hair loss with no significant hair growth, but no hair loss either (which is better than nothing). However, I switched from the foam to Kirland Brand Minoxidil from Costco because it was cheaper.
After using for about two weeks, I noticed huge red spots (similar to a rash) began to form on my forehead. Because some of the Minoxidil solution in the Kirkland solution usually ended up on my forehead, I connected the emerging rash to the solution.
Online, many people have had a similar problem and a reaction to a chemical found in the Kirland solution but not in the Rogaine foam: PG or PPG (Propylene Glycol). I am 99 percent sure this is responsible and have stopped using the Kirkland solution.
However, the spots are very prominent all over my forehead. They itch and I do not know how to treat them or when they will go away. Has anyone had any experience with this allergic reaction and have any advice about its treatment or how long it will take to disappear?
