HELP! Advice needed on Proscare generic 5mg finasteride

Dear all,

I realise I cannot post in the forum inquiring as to where I can find finasteride, but can I ask about people's experiences with generic brands? I just received a shipment of Proscare generic 5mg finasteride, made by Fortune Health Care. I have no idea if it's legit and I'm in a battle of wills. I really want / need to keep taking finasteride, but my bull**** detector is going through the roof!

Does anyone have any experience with Proscare?

Problem is, I'm in Ireland and I can't get my GP to prescribe finasteride, so I'm quite stuck

Any help at all would be fantastic!

Well...

If you are cynical that the drug you have is legitimate then what does it matter what brand it is? It could be an imitation of "proscare" (which is also an imitation of propecia).

I bought a generic finasteride called Fincom-1 which as I understand is the go-to Japanese finasteride. It could very well be a sugarpill with "fincom-1" stamped on it I suppose. It does make you wonder, but since I had initial side effects that conform to what people on finasteride usually experience I deduce that the product is what it claims to be.

"Proscare" is actually how it is spelled on the foil. I've found some reference to it elsewhere and I ordered from a 'reputable' online pharmacy (if such a thing exists), it's just that I was expecting Fincar I think, which is more well-known. So I don't know.

If anyone else has any experience of "Proscare" I'd love to hear it. Or does anyone know of a list of reputable generic finasteride brands? Surely, with all the millions of male pattern baldness forums out there, there is such a list?

Did anybody ever get to a conclusion, because I have just recieved a shipment with the exact same pills, and my bullshit meter is going through the roof as well! PLEASE RESPOND!!
