Hi guys.
I am a 30 year old woman who has been fighting hair loss for 6 years.
The first doctor I went to back when this started dismissed it as "hormones".
I took matters into my own hands and started Minoxidil 2% and then up to 5%. It definitely slowed the loss down
I finally went to a derm who diagnosed Androgenetic Alopecia (which I'd already figured out for myself!) and she put me on spironolactone.
I am also now, thanks to forums such as these, using Nizoral 1% about 3 times a week.
Do any of you have any other suggestions on what I could add to my regimen or what might be helpful?
I've been through the women's forum as well and there is just such an overwhelming amount of information.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

hmm, I would be more helpfull in the male hairloss category.

However, I heard that tricomin spray has worked for a couple women. Also Nano Shampoo. Keep us posted on what route you decide to choose.

Lentara,

Assuming you don't have a history of GI bleeds....take an aspirin a day.

Hi, guys.
Just wanted to update you.
My regimen right now is:
minoxidil 5% twice a day
nizoral 3% a week
oral spironolactone

thanks to your suggestions have added a multivitamin with green tea extract and biotin. Still waffling between tricomin and spironolactone.

Thanks again guys :) You're alright

Go with Tricomin.

Lentara we'll need to move this to the women's forums. Hope you don't mind. I realize not many responses come there but conversation needs to be lively in order for people to be motivated to respond, so the more posts we put there, the better. Things should be picking up dramatically in the women's area in the next month too, for various reasons I won't go into right now :)

This means more women are going bald, or there is going to be a breakthrough medication for women.

Grrr... would love to have a breakthrough medication for men...

I have had great success with folligen. No experience with tricomin.

Your regimen seems fairly comprehensive. Tricomin might help & perhaps some MSM for improving hair growth & apperance. 2-3g a day.
