Im 17 years old and the frontal part of my head is bald. I need a regimen, can someone recommend me any good products to use? I use to have tight braids and someone has told me that the issue may be traction alopecia and not male pattern baldness although I'm not sure of it yet.

I do not plan on taking Procepia after reading all the permanent side effects which people have encountered.

I've read about Minoxidil, Nizarol Shampoo and Revivogen - are these any good?

All help is appreciated

Re: 17 New here and need help with regimen

Well at 17 you're too young for Finasteride regardless of potential side-effects.

The only other product which works and is safe at your age is Minoxidil (rogaine etc). It's basically the only proven growth stimulant which is readily available.

Can you show photos? Frontal part of your hair being bald at such a young age is very rare. Are you sure you're not exaggerating?

Posted pics - My hair is long and I use to tie it tightly during my lower-life. I stopped tying it around a year ago. As you can see the frontal part has no hair along with the sides which go with it. Someone told me to comb my hair sideways so it doesn't recede anymore. (I don't know if this is a myth or if the combing affects it)

Okay you definitely have had some loss. It's quite an unusual hairline, is it similar to any of your relatives?

Anyway I think minoxidil is your best bet. It doesn't generally regrow massive amounts at the hairline though quite a few people have had decent hairline thickening, but it does have the most success in subjects that catch their hairloss early so as you're very young who knows!

Ok thanks, do you recommend the Nizoral Shampoo or Revivogen as a Androgen Blocker?

I don't really have any faith in either of those products personally, so I'll leave that to others to advise :dunno:
