Hello,

I am turning 19 in a week. I was just wondering about my hairline, is it anything to worry about?

Maternal grandfather isn’t bald -
paternal grandfather is bald and so is my father, though not my paternal uncle. (If it is of any relevance)

Thanks in advance!

Need a picture of your forehead wrinkles wrinkled as high as possible so I can see where your juvenile hairline started. It looks like it's receding but there's a chance you're maturing with a high forehead to Norwood 2.

I'm leaning toward recession, but most people on here like to jump the gun and label almost all hair loss as male pattern baldness and then they recommend finasteride. It could be maturing hairline, as you are blonde and hair density tends to look worse with blondes anyway at corners, and it isn't *that* far back. But your frontal forelock is also thinning (see the small hairs?) which is really strange. That means it's either really aggressive hair loss or you are maturing at a really fast rate and it could stop. I would see a derm or seek more opinions. Good luck!

How can you tell where your juvenile hairline was by wrinkling your forehead?

Thanks for your answers, you’re really helpful!

Anyway, I found a picture of my hairline from when I was fifteen, of that is of any value? (1st picture vs 2st which is today) regarding thinning out and height of the hairline.

My hope for you just increased. It looks like it could very well be a mature hairline after seeing that picture. To get confirmation, I'd steer away from the broscientists on here and make a dermatologist who specializes specifically in hair analyze you.
