sorry to say but you're 100% balding :(

Your hairline does appear to be receding. Have you got older pics to compare with? I would say it's gone slightly beyond a mature hairline, but without older pics I can't say for sure. You have great density though. Maybe take pics every few months to compare. Unfortunately you are too young to go on Finasteride.

It doesn't really matter what hairstyle you go with, that's up to your own preference. Changing hairstyle won't stop balding, IF, that is what is happening. You could go to a dermatologist for confirmation and treatment options if you are indeed balding. Otherwise, take pics every 3 months maybe, with the same lighting etc and compare them to see if anything is happening.

Here is a pic from two years ago. It looks the same to me. I think it's just my natural look maybe?

Unfortunately, because the style is different and the hairline is covered here, I can't tell if there is any difference or not. Sorry.

I am sorry to say that yeah, in these latest pics you definitely have a receding hairline. Is your dad and moms grandfather stark bald? This is hard to say but that is quite significant recession for a 16 year old, you are past a Norwood 2 onto a Norwood 3 and I don't think your frontal section will be around for long.

When did you start puberty?

I receded pretty fast too, however I've had about the same hairline for quite some time (now 26) but it has been receding more gradually. You can see my latest pics on my latest post. Like the earlier post said I'd consider seeing a dermatologist and if you are, you can discuss possible treatments.

Some people really shouldn't comment on this website. How can you look at that picture and say he's a Norwood 3 lol. Looking at ANY Norwood scale chart (and there's a variety) he is clear as day textbook Norwood 2. I think people just hate on Norwood 2s because they have hair envy straight up. Will he progress to a Norwood 3? Most likely, maybe not. My hairline almost looked like his at birth. You can clearly tell his has receded but only about 3/4 of an inch. Textbook Norwood 2.
