Hey Martin, it's hard to tell from photos at such an early stage but it doesn't look too bad to me, just use your Nizoral twice a week and get on with your life. If it has developed in a couple of years there are ways of fixing it so try not to worry too much, good luck buddy.

Martinn, your hair looks ok. I know this is easier said than done, but try not to let it get to you. You're 15 years old so the last thing you should be worrying about is your hair. Get out there and enjoy being young. If you think you're balding and decide to do something about it, that's fine, but do your best not to stress about this so much. You're too young to let this dominate you...especially considering your hair looks fine.

Thanks everyone, happy to see some of you think I'm not balding.
I wish I could just get over this...but that's not easy for me, I have uncontrollable racing thoughts constantly and lately they've been concerning my scalp.

I have another question though, when I take new pictures of my hair in 5 or 6 months, and if there's no difference, does that mean I'm most likely not balding? Thanks.

And about the density, most of it is the same, on the front of my head hair tends to be a bit thinner, but I don't know if that's balding... also, my mom has thin hair too...

(BTW, I'm gonna buy the nizoral A-D shampoo today)

If in six months you see no difference, unfortunatly, it dosnt mean your not balding. It can be a painfully slow process. However, to me, your hair looks fine. Lots of people have thin crowns it seems to be more to do with the way the hair is parted. Can you take pics with wet hair...?

Yeah, most likely you are not balding when you see no difference in six months. Just take pics twice a year and then start treatment when you see a deterioration. Now relax and have a nice day!

Martinnn your hair is fine. Not only they are dense but the color and blah blah looks very nice. Make sure you monitor your hair condition. If you see the cowlick getting larger go for treatments. THERE ARE EFFECTIVE TREATMENTS out there. So IF you begin to balding you can save your hair. For now, relax and enjoy your youth. Nobody would ever tell you have a hair loss problem, exept some people in this forum.

/Edit/ after seeing the latest pictures i edit my first sentence. Your hair is PERFECT.

No...I haven't really noticed hair falling out at all...
I think a while back ago, I was bored so I took a picture of my scalp and then I saw a bald-ish spot.... that's when I started getting paronoid.
Can't quite remember what happened exactly, but I think that's what it was. And I've worried about it everyday since then.

PS: thanks for the nice opinions, i feel a hell of a lot better

TO ALL THE FREAKIN NEGATIVE POSTERS AIMED AT ME: YEAH, JUST GO AHEAD AND PRETEND YOU DO NOT SEE THAT PATCH OF FLESH COLOR SCALP ON PHOTO 1. WHO ARE YOU TO TELL ME WHAT MY OWN OPINION OF HIS HAIR CONDITION IS?

Behind every male pattern baldness story is people telling the baling person that they are crazy for thinking they are going bald. *looks at JayB*

JayB you sad bald idiot, put your freakin glasses on, clean off your monitor, and take notice of his bald patch of scalp on his first photo.[/b]
you stupid bastard...MOST People have a natural swirl identicle to his, especially asian women. you fcking fool, people have a natural swirling pattern some larger than others, some smaller.

youre just a jealous bastard who wants everyone to have ocd about their hair so youre not the odd man out. his hair condition- its friggin fine you only wish yours looked like that.

youre a fcking prick plain and simple. nothing you write helps anyone. your depressing and you suck at life.

martinnn, your hair is in great shape, you have a visible swirl on the crown but so do a lot of people.

use nizoral anyway even just to maintain a healthy scalp, and try washing your hair in cold water ,or at least blasting it with cold water after ya washed it,it should help with circulation

hey martinnn....as far as my experience and knowledge abt this goes, u have nothing to worry abt at the moment unless u've got unusual or excessive shedding for a prolonged period...only then will u notice a considerable change from ur pics taken.. say..5 months from now provided they r taken under similar conditions...

if u dont mind having ur hair really short, i'd recommend a nice buzzcut ..it might ease ur mind off this ocd u r having..and if i were u i'd try to engage myself in some activities to take my mind off this...

I may have been wrong about why ketoconazole helps with hair loss. I stated that it will inhibit DHT from attaching to the hair follicle, but at Minoxidil.com (Regrowth LLC) it says this:

Q. How does ketoconazole work to reduce the DHT in the scalp?

A. One of the pharmacological actions of ketoconazole is to inhibit biosynthesis of ergosterols and other sterols. It is this inhibition of sterols that decreases the amount of testosterone and DHT in the scalp, when Nizoral 2% is used topically.

So, anyone doesknow if it also prevents the attachment of DHT to the hair follicle, or does it simply reduce the amount of testosterone and DHT in the scalp? I suppose I could do a search for it but I'm lazy right now. Anyhow, I just wanted to correct what might have been an inaccurate post of mine.

Thanks for the advice everybody. I'm definitely gonna wash my hair in cold water and buy some of that nizoral.
I don't know about keeping my hair short though...I like it a bit longer.
Thanksss everybody I'm not thinking about my stupid hair as much hahaha
So here are my things to do:
-Buy nizoral shampoo
-Wash hair in cold water
-Take more vitamins/zinc
-Eat healthier
-Take pictures of scalp in same lighting every 5 or 6 months

Being that I have OCD, everything must be perfectly organized and planned out LOL
So now I have my priorities straight. Thankssss I'm so damn happy! I WILL NEVER LET MYSELF GO BALD!!!

re:

Remember that men without male pattern baldness have varying degrees of scalp coverage and hair density. I think you either do not have male pattern baldness or have yet to show any noticeable effects from male pattern baldness.
It is a good idea to take daily vitamins for your general health and perhaps nizoral could help the look of your hair but I personally think there is no need unless you are having dandruff issues. To ease your head, take some photos. If you somehow confirmed that you have male pattern baldness, then you are too young for finasteride and you have a full head of hair so it is too early to start minoxidil so just relax for a few years. If you like your current haircut then keep it because it looks fine.
