I began noticing i was losing hair about a year or 2 ago. I first summed it up to maturing hairline (optimism often gets the best of us) but when i was not happy with the state of my hairline, i said screw it - this is 2014, and i'm early in - and looked at my options.

I decided to begin 1.25mg finasteride about 2 months ago. I had minor anxieties about going to the doctor and asking, but i decided to do so anyways. I regret not doing so sooner. I did experience sexual side effects (less horny) but tbh, hardly cared. When you arent in the mood as often, it really makes little difference. I also experienced a reduction in amount of ejaculate. Both side effects have entirely subsided.

My reasons for choosing finasteride (alone, without ketoconazole or minoxidil) were of convenience. I don't have time to dedicate to a ceremonious routine. While i understand that finasteride+ketoconazole / finasteride+minoxidil are more effective, I simply do not have time.

I've decided to make an account and begin posting largely because of the lack of people who document their progress (most people with success simply don't continue to post). All I seemed to ever read about in my searches were failures, people who seek treatment far too late, and the demonization of finasteride.

I'd like my story to address us younger guys. I will be posting 1-2 month updates with pictures. I welcome ANY questions.

As a side note, even as a medical professional, i found limited resources available in this subject. This led to more and more questions, and over about a year I have found answers to many of them. If there is something you cannot seem to be able to find answers to, send me a message. I've literally horded literature on the subject.

Hopefully you do continue to post. I have read this many times only to see the guys never updating. Positive updates are definitely needed to over power all of the BS. Thank you.
