I once read a post on these forums that said by scrubbing away dead/dry skin you are causing the skin be unhealthy. I give my hairline a quick scrub w/ a washcloth before i get out of the shower sometimes. Does anyone know if this will have a negative effect on the skin and hair, or is it just buLLsht?

The biggest problem I see is that you may damage, or break off the hair that is growing there. I certainly wouldn't do it.

I do it because the dry/dead skin builds up and looks kinda shitty. Damage fragile new hairs??!!? I thought it didnt matter how harsh you were on your scalp, that hats and the like wont do damage. ???

an old and effective but time consuming form of hair removal was to rub the hair with a circular motion. you'll find many topicals warn not to rub in a circular motion while applying. so dont rub with a circular motion.
