I've only recently started to think about this, but would someone with a smaller to normal sized head possibly show thinner hair when having even slight loss than someone who has a bigger head? If they had the same amount of hairs, then when they started to thin, even with age thinning, you would see more scalp than on the person with a small head.

Or do people with bigger heads have more hairs per square inch?

I have a lot of hairs per square inch and a fairly big head so maybe. I'm also a blond though and they say blondes have more hairs.

i've heard it too - apparently blondes have the most hair per square inch, then brunettes, then gingers. dunno if it's true though, never looked into it really.

I've "heard" the complete opposite, blondes having less density than brunettes/black haired people.

Blonde hair is thinner but they have more of it. I had pure blonde hair as a child and lots of it. I still have dense hair. At least I started out with a lot. MY dad is convinced that he would have a completely bald spot in his crown if he didn't have such dense hair to begin with. Hie developed a "Thin spot" in his 40s, and if he had less hair to begin with there would be nothing less if he lost the same exact amount of hair. Of course male pattern baldness just doesn't work that way and he has hair left in his crown because his genes are programmed that way.
