My hair looks horrible I want to go a derm but what worries is that they won't reccomed my any meds for treating my hair loss. My Doctor is the past had told my hair was fine but I'm pretty sure she was wrong. In some pics my hair looks fine while In others it looks horrible.

If you want to get a evaluation sign up for hims and they will precribe you finasteride and mail it to you if your in the us. You should start treatment if you feel your hair is thinning.

From the pictures it seems like:

- your hairline is fine
- you have what “seems” like the beginning of diffuse thinning.

I might be wrong but I would say , depending on your age and/or how worried you are about your hair loss, you should CONSIDER some sort of treatment.

I feel that, but I think it all comes down to the question what you are more afraid of, going bald or taking meds. For me it’s the second, but the more hair I lose, the more afraid of going bald I get and it keeps bringing me a bit closer to meds.

Looks a bit sparse I would say. Young chicks are gonna swerve you bro if they find out. Meds tho are risky business there. The sides for finasteride are exactly the sides a man should avoid at all costs. But who knows I never tried it.

I would hold off on finasteride for now. If it keeps getting much worse in the next year then go on it. I have similar hairloss to yours, and finasteride caused a massive shed for me. You may be different though. In the meantime if you are self conscious then use toppik fibers they will fill in any thin spot you have.

That thin spot isn't really bad if I dont spike up my hair but I think it's finally time for me to go Derm and get experts thoughts hopefully I get prescribed meds and every thing goes fine so can live my life and not worry about being bald at 25

Can you make a pic with your hair slicked forward and one with wet hair combed to the sides so you get the line in middle? (If it’s not too much to ask). I’m diffusing myself and wondering what it looks like for you so I can compare to myself!

Don’t think it’s that easy to conclude he’s not balding. If his hair has always been a little bit thinner on the front then yes, it could be that he’s not balding. But that top part does appear to be thinner and if it has always been thick on the front, then it might be the beginning of diffuse thinning I guess.

Maybe get another check up at a different derm or hair clinic?

I haven't been to a derm but I plan to go to one this month but I'm gonna start minoxiol since it does not require a prescription. Do you guys know of any thickening shampoos that work?

I dont know if thickening shampoos really do anything or not. But I use one that I bought off Amazon it's #1 reviewed. Its called maple holistics biotin shampoo. And watch out for minoxidil it will shed away all of the small ancillary hairs around your hairline, it did it to me. Only use it in spots that are thin. And i recommend foam over liquid. Also you'll have to buy nizoral if u use minoxidil or else you'll get inflammation and crazy dandruff

So just avoid my hairline when using minoxiol and I'll be good? I was going to only use it for the top part of my head
