Haven't Lost Hairs Since Starting Treatment And Cutting Hair

whats this about? when my hair was slightly over a inch long, i used to lose so many in the bath n that, and when i put wax in my hair, u wudnt beleive. was def losing much more than 100-150 a day. but i shaved my head for few weeks every few days, and now its bout a number 1.5 in length, and even my derm found it hard to get a hair outta my head, and now after iv showered and that and massaged shampoo into my head i cant c a single hair on my hands.

its wierd, but good i suppose. i started my treatment 11 days ago, surely tht isnt taking effect yet? its jus the opposite of what used to happen.

Um its probably cos the hairs are so much shorter you don't notice...?

Also, 11 days is nothing, don't stress.

u started all of them at the same time? it might be the nizoral, i used to shed crazy...after i started nizoral i basically stopped losing hair..its too early to tell though

In some good responders, Minoxidil will cause the hairs to go through an extended growth stage and this coupled with reduced levels of inflammation due to lower DHT scalp levels can result in ceasation of shedding. You will notice your hair doesn't fall out and grows much faster than usual requiring more frequent hair cuts.

You will probably see that in a month or two time you will go through a large shed as your hair follicle forces your hair into rest phase, but I would assume that you are going to be a strong responder to these drugs so all the best mate.

i started nizoral yesterday or day before.

the others i been on for 16 days.
