there inst gonna be pictures cause i don,t feel its needed for this topic. okay so basically i have temple thinning at 16 witch sucks, but when i first noticed it, there was some small white hairs on the old hairline vellus hairs i think. I started to dermaroll with castor oil and coconut oil [recently started aloe vera], now those short white hairs have got long and started to change colour and alot new hairs stared to develop but the long hairs and the new short ones are thin, i think that the thinning has stop and the hair is going through the growth cycle ,so my question is how do i make these temples hairs thick cause they are really thin?
thanks for reading

Hello Nicolas,

I would go to a dermatologist or hair specialist so they can examine your hair. It is very rare for someone who is 16 to be actually balding.

When I was around 14 my forehead got a lot bigger (at least what I noticed) and my temples looked to have receded. I remember asking my mom as I pulled my hair back and she confirmed it looked receded. However I am 30 now and the temples and hair line look the exact same as it did 16yrs ago.

So receding IS normal as the scalp changes. It is a problem when it continues to recede and pull back.

At 16 you are probably just getting your mature hairline. Nothing to worry about.

Project 100, is to get advice from other people with similar problems,
My main goal is to thicken the hairs on my temples

But you said you don't want to use minoxidil, AKA the only treatment you can use at your age. Then what?

Wait a couple of years and see. Then you can jump on finasteride if it all goes bad.

yeah it's all bunk.
a lot of people will lie to you and say green tea and beetroot juice worked and by the time you wasted 6 months trying it for nothing they would be long gone. same with balayam (hundreds of people tried it for nothing)
this section of the board is for theoretical cures that may be coming out in the future. unfortunately i don't think anything discussed in this section of the forum in the last 15 years has ever came out or done anything for hair.

if i were you i wouldn't be worrying about my hair. i didn't notice mine was going until i was almost norwood 2.5 and someone pointed it out to me.
i would only worry if i were you if all of the male members of my family went bald in their 20's.

I know someone whose hairline was super miniature during all of childhood. That front 1cm of hair was just vellus and small and thin.

It eventually thickened up on its own around your age.
