Have I Got The Facial/head Structure To Pull Off The Bald Look?

Hi everyone.

After a long stint of denial, I've accepted that my hair is slowly receding and thinning a little. It sucks, but hey ho.

Because I reckon one day I will end up being bald, I'm considering shaving my head and am curious to see what i'll look like. I'm unsure whether to go through with it though as I'm pretty pasty, have light eyebrows (i could always dye them i guess), and am not blessed with great beard growing abilities (maybe/hopefully one day, but i'm 24 already).

I've uploaded some pictures included a recent picture without the hair scraped back to show what the mop currently looks like.

Other potentially relevant info:
  • 6 ft 1
  • A relatively lean 190 lb, having lifted for a number of years
It would be great to get honest opinions on whether you reckon I could rock the bald look and if you think I've got the facial/head structure to pull it off.

I would rather not have any beat around the bush type answers so just be brutally honest, please.

Cheers guys

Tommy

Facial structure wise you do, but your lack of dark features (brows, beard stubble and skin tone) will make you look like a pale ghost when you go bald.

buzz is sh*t. Maybe a year from now I will be able to successfully buzz, but as of right now I have a sh*t load of shock loss, and I cannot make an accurate assessment as most the grafts have also fallen out

I told you already, if I buzz my scalp It doesn't match, and you can see a disgusting horse shoe.

Buzz is not an option for those with diffuse.

it's either 0-1 grade or grow it out, and layer for volume

Cheers mate, that's what I thought. I've thought of using a moisturiser with some fake tan to help with the whole pasty situation I've got going on and might dye my eyebrows anyway as my head hair has got a lot darker since i was younger but the brows haven't caught up.

no. It's the shortest it's been in years in that picture. It used to be verging on an afro in the glory days

your good looking enough and have good head shape for sure. but i would keep what you can. a frame is important. especially whilst your still young. plus trying to get a bit color

Cheers. At the moment I'm just doing what I can because of injuries. Pre-injuries I was following a layout similar to this though. I would read this if you plan to follow it or just want to know more: http://tommycole.co.uk/training-for-gains/

what are the meds? I doubt I will go down that route but I haven't really read up on anything properly yet so it would be good to know

main meds are finasteride (number one but can get side effects so need to research), then minoxidil. those 2 are the best. plus you have a sh*t load of other random experimental ones which have a mixed success rate with people.

this is your best resource right here to look at all your options and see what u wana do

Ok cheers mate. Personally, I think if I were to take meds it would just make me obsessive about my hair. Plus I wouldn't want to risk the potential side effects. We will see though
