You're like a Norwood 1.5. Yes, it probably is male pattern baldness. Get on Finasteride now, and you won't have to get on Minoxidil.

Norwood 2.4848588556485854 statements are so stupid!
Go to a dermatologist and get a professional opinion, don't listen to these internet super heroes with their opinions on Norwood 1.58554854854325723.

My two cents...

This is the correct approach. I doubt any dermatologist would say that you've lost hair at this stage, but it's good to check.

If you're really worried, take pictures of your crown every month or two. If you start losing, you'll notice it quickly enough that it can be reversed.

I see a little receding but not enough to worry. I suggest just get some Min and apply it to the hairline. Getting on finasteride now isn't worth the risk(IMO)

Yeah, a lot of dermatologist does not know that much about hairloss, but those who do checks the hairs minimization, and compare it from the donor hair area to the vertex and hairline.

If your hair is worrying you, I would suggest an appointment with your dermatologist and do the test, because it is impossible to tell you are balding from these pictures. (My opinion though!)

Thanks for the advice. Im gonna keep an eye on it over the next couple of months .ive looked through photos when i first got this haircut and it appears to be roughly the same. Not sure quite what the definition of miniaturising is but i looked and felt a few hairs at the front and they appear the same length as the rest of my hair. Theres no thinning on the crown. I will ask my barber if he can tell when i go later this week. If i feel it gets any worse i will see a dermatologist.

no way thats a 1.5...too much loss in temples...Norwood 2 approaching 2.5

- - - Updated - - -

that would be fine to say if he was a Norwood 1 and a little unsure about some hair but if he doesnt get on finasteride hell be a Norwood 3 vertex before the year is over.

Omg too much looser in these forum... Nothing to worry?!
I'm NW1.5 and already on dutasteride and possibly the best move ever, since I lost a little of my temple hair recently, I'm getting all them back!
Don't wait to be NW3 to go on treatment...........
