Has anybody had issues with hair stylists pulling too hard?

I am getting my hair cut about once every 5-6 weeks and I fear going there because the hair stylist usually pulls carelessly at my hair and combs vigorously which has to be bad even in non sufferers. I notice when I pull even slightly I am usually able to pull one or two out. I can only imagine what damage she is doing - how do you deal with this? I have asked her several times to not pull as hard and she says she will but that it is necessary to pull a little bit to get the lengths right. Is it considerably difficult to style/cut your own hair? I am considering doing this as I am fairly content with my situation; I'm about an nw2 and have been taking Propecia for about 5-6 years now. I just want to maintain how I am without worsening much. Any suggestions for this?

Yeah i have the same issue.... my sister cuts my hair and shes a beautician and i always tell her that your pulling to hard and combing to hard... she just says i have a sensitive scalp....ususally try to condition my hair before getting it cut...easier to comb when wet

Next time you make your appointmant at that salon specifically request that you do NOT get that stylist. If they ask why don't hesitate to say it is because she is rough and having her cut your hair is uncomfortable.

Maybe then she will get the message to listen to her customers.

Otherwise just go elsewhere.
