Yes. It took a while, though, and it's not perfect. I don't think it'll ever be perfect again.

honestly, I cant say. I know I've had thickening on the crown and vertex but I think the hairline has simply maintained. I really dont see any new hairs except a few small ones that are probably just miniturizing hairs hanging on. I'll be happy with maintenance. I dont think anything will completely restore a hairline besides hair transplant

XL, what were your reasons for stopping propecia again? What do you think you'll do if you stop responding to minoxidil?

I was doing fine with minoxidil and SP combined, so why add unecessary things to my body?

Won't happen. When I reach a tolerance phase, I simply let it go for 2 months, then start again... The body will take it like a brand new substance. Works like a charm.

it's almost impossible to go from a hairline that looks like it's receding to a normal hairline, yes you may regrow some, but if you are looking to have a normal hair line, there's no medication that will likely help you

Yea thats true zak. But if you get lucky you still can maybe regrow some and get a decent hairline. Also is it true that minoxidil can stop working for you for a while?

I had pretty good hairline success with Propecia. Had to stop though because of the sexual side effects, so I'm paying for that success now. But yeah, I had decent hairline restoration. In all honesty, when I was shaving my head right before I went on Propecia, my hairline was a definite NW3. When I got on Propecia and grew my hair out, I'd say I was at least a NW2, maybe a NW1.5, although the temples were kind of weak. Still, on Propecia with my hair at an inch and a half or so, people couldn't tell I had any hairline problems. It was a combination of Propecia and growing my hair out, but the Propecia was a huge help.

Saw Palmetto is (i believe) my saving grace. Finasteride and minoxidil alone are not enough to stop my hairloss...

I did a test in fact. Less than 1 month after starting Saw Palmetto (320mg daily) my hairloss almost completely stopped. Then I stopped it...and sorta forgot about it. These past 2 months have literally been hell... shedding one hundred plus hairs daily... until about a week ago when I bought some more. I've been on my same regimen non-stop for the past 6 months now and the only thing i've fluctuated was the SP. I can already tell a slowing in my hairloss. I'm taking 2 doses of 640mg daily just to condition myself now. I'm not getting any real side effects either. Maybe a SLIGHTLY lower sex drive, but ehhh..it was hyperactive anyways. So it's all good.

Saw palmetto does work..but not on it's own. You need to stop most of the excess DHT production with a 5AR inhibitor first.

Just my 2 cents.
