Hey Everyone

I have been wearing a HP for the past 10 years.

I usually buy 8 to 10 HP at a single given time and that usually will last me 10 months to a year.

As you might figure... the last time i bought my HPs it was pre Covid.

Now !! i have 2 HP s left and i am going to market and it seems there's a massive scarcity

can i get some suggestions as to where i can get some French lace or Swiss lace Stock hair pieces ?

thanks a lot

You buy 8 to 10 hair systems a year, to last you a year, so you're only getting a month or so per system?! What?! You should be getting at least 3 to 6 months out of a lace system. My current all lace system is 6 months in and is almost as good as new.

You're kidding me, right? I don't mean to be condescending or anything....but if you're only getting 4 to 6 weeks out of an all lace system, then either 1) you're buying really terrible, low quality systems, or 2) you're not looking after them properly. If you've got 10 years experience with hair systems, but still haven't figured out how to get more than 4 - 6 weeks out of a lace system, then something is SERIOUSLY wrong and you need to re-evaluate what you're doing and educate yourself on buying quality systems and how to look after them properly. What is going on there? It really does beggar belief!

I'd be happy to share by PM where I buy mine from (I am currently using an all Swiss lace stock system), however the company I use has recently changed production facilities due to the pandemic and I think is mostly offering custom systems. I don't yet know how good the quality of their new units is, but I will be receiving mine soon so I will let you know.

Jeez.... i normally get 3-4 months from 1 swiss lace system. 4-6 weeks seems odd, but like the reply above suggests, most places are now only doing custom systems taking anything from 4-6mths to make! :( . its a bloody nightmare! thankfully when it all started i stocked up on anything i could find, so i currently have around 5-7 systems of various colours close to mine. I am struggling to find any colour 22R so i have had to get anything close to it , and will have to try and bleach them to the right blond .. EEK! alittle scared of that but until things pick up , which PRAY they do soon, its all just winging it!

hey Albar05 and Hair2019

thanks for your reply and also its amazing ... like seriously .. super amazing and claps and salute to you guys for making your hair pieces last so long and being PROs at managing your hairpieces so well

now coming to the real issue as to why i started the tread ... all i am asking for .... and if its easier you can DM me ... all i am after is to find out a decent or reliable place where you are buying your pieces from at this current stage of the pandemic

for now ... this information will help me secure a piece ... when i secure this ... i will gladly sit down and write in detail exactly what i do with my pieces and you guys can point out what i am doing wrong and i will gladly take on board your constructive criticism

Thanking you in advance

cheers

As i said above, most places are now only doing custom systems with a wait of anything from 4-6months. Stock systems are near impossible to find at the moment, and your best bet is just doing weekly emails or shout out to any places you can find to see if they have any stock. I have been lucky on Aliexpress 2 times by contacting vendors on there .. BUT , and its a big BUT .. the quality is shocking .. i got a system from one place, and waited for it, and when it came it was such bad hair , like straw, i had to send it back and get a refund, which was a nightmare in itself. Right now its all just pot luck. Do your research and just contact ANYONE you can on line to see if they have stock, Otherwise its a matter of ordering customs systems from the main online suppliers like lordhair, hair bro , hollywood lace, NLW etc etc.

That is ABSOLUTELY incorrect information.

"Stock", or pre-made systems are still certainly being produced... all of the factories we work are making new, stock systems, not all are accepting orders for custom systems.

And, I get texted or emailed weekly by other companies wanting to sell me pre-made units.

well its not ABSOLUTELY incorrect, because i myself have been contacting many companies via email and whatsapp as recently as yesterday and 90% of the time if your looking for a full swiss lace you are told it is custom only .. no stock systems available in full lace. for immediate mail out. This has also applied to over 6 on Aliexpress i have contacted , all says no stock in full swiss available. having said that, it may be the colour i am looking for directly, so it would depend i guess on what your looking for colour wise. My colour of 22R is seeming not available anywhere in stock systems only Custom . i have been offered skin systems without issue in most cases in my colour , but swiss lace is def hard to come by now , and its pot luck unless you know of a major pot of full lace for immediate delivery, please do share :)

I'd sincerely like to know this as well. Usually get stocks from NWL but as of last week they were out of everything except skin units. I've never worn one of those but might have to give it a shot. In the meantime, if anyone can vouch for a company with any stock lace or even mono pieces available, I'd be extremely grateful.

"Stock systems are near impossible to find at the moment" that is what you wrote... and it is NOT factual.

Had you written "I am unable to find a lace unit in MY color at MY price point, that would be a totally differnt situation! You didn't, and I called you out on it.

Be careful not to make sweeping generalizations.

I actually had a system in your color, in French Lace, last week, and we sold it, but not within your budget.

exactly , i said NEAR IMPOSSIBLE , i did not say you will never find a stock system, in my experience if you check on line most companies have no stock systems in a lot of colours.. so as far as i am concerned near impossible to find is a valid way to express MY opinon. People clearly need to do their own research and not assume what others are finding out is the gospel , these things change daily i am sure... someone could check today and tomorrow stock could be found. So i stand by my thoughts.

indeed. I refuse to pay more for systems just because of the shortage. Some places are taking the piss, and i will only pay £200-230 per a system , which i have managed to find on and off over the last 6mths. Its not easy but you can find them, there are some places still offering you systems at pre covid prices when they have them. Many People are struggling financially, and money is tight for many so i dont see have a " budget" something to be ashamed off.

If anyone using darker brown lace systems, i have just been doing a check and Lavivid seem to have darker colours in swiss lace on their website right now.

If swiss or french lace is unavailable, what would you guys recommend as a second option? Is ultra thin skin a good choice?
