Hard Evidence - NoFAP DOES NOT affect Testosterone, Prolactin, Cortisol levels

I have found evidence that refutes the Purvis paper and the notion that NOFAP affects hormone levels which the people who believe in NOFAP seem to love to quote. Been saying this for months, that the Purvis paper has been under scrutiny. People need to be aware of the dangers of reading abstracts without looking at the publication's content.

Now, here is the problem. After I reviewed the paper, I found compelling evidence that hormone levels such as testosterone, cortisol, prolactin, are unaffected by masturbation and periods of NOFAP. The real key here is, how many of you FAPSTONAUTS will actually take a look at this with an open mind?

Are you just going to come back with more bull**** or will you really believe facts? Are you a Bill Nye or a Ken Ham? My fear is that this will lead to more fighting, and really I'm just tired of it.

Ignore Frenchy, he is a mentally challenged 12 year old boy from France. I have hard evidence that disputes the second paper he is citing, a paper that many endocrinology studies have refuted. He has never even read those papers because he does not have access to them.

Even the website that NoFAP people love to quote "Yourbrainonporn.com" states that masturbation doesn't affect your Testosterone, and several other hormones, levels.

http://www.yourbrainonporn.com/book/export/html/148

Read the whole webpage, including his comments about reading abstracts but not the paper. Abstracts can be misleading.

Purvis found a ~40 percent change in Testosterone, which falls in the range of Testosterone changes that happen naturally, disparate from sexual activity. As for the prolactin paper Frenchy quoted, he should try reading the actual paper. The increase drops after 60 minutes, and their results conflict with 5 other publications that were published within 1 year of their publication. See Figure 2.

Can't seem to upload the PDFs directly here, I'll try later when I have more time.

Thats too much reading. Maybe this weekend I'll get on it.

The top of the website itself has most of the main points and is easy to read.

LOL. From what I gather...educated NOFAP gurus now believe that NoFAP does not alter testosterone levels, but rather it increases the androgen receptor activity in the brain that has been dulled down by over-masturbation (hence the reported effects).

I still have yet to see on any site wtf people consider to be over-masturbation. No consensus on that. My guess is that it's way beyond what anyone on here actually does. However, when DropDeadFred was saying that he would Fap multiple times a day my head started spinning. The only time I could do it more than once in a day was when I was a teen. I barely am interested in doing it once a day. I think over-masturbation would be something like 2-3 times a day? I don't know maybe one of the NFB (NOFAP BRIGADE) can comment if they have read anything.

To be honest from what I read, testosterone doesn't change at all, cortisol does not change at all, and people are debating whether prolactin changes. I found several publications that say it doesn't, and one that says that it does (albeit it is one of the same authors and he states that he is using different equipment/methodology). Even in the paper where it DOES change, it starts lower again in 20 minutes and after an hour it is close to the original level.

To be conservative lets say you FAPPING twice a day, once in the morning and once at night, and that the effect lasts even TWO hours each time. That's a total of four hours that your prolactin level is up about 50%. The other 20 hours you're at a normal level. This cannot play a major role in hair loss, any reasonable person would come to that conclusion at least.

Personal Anectode;
I've gone 2 months then over 3 months without any kind of orgasm.Currently on once a week regime. No, I've not seen any difference. However I found out that my sugar intake is really bad for my hair. Sugar makes my hair oily. And I really love sugar.Sugar,sugar,sugar... lol.
Anyway, I think you should listen to your body. You should be able to know how much is too much for you

Been trying to lower my sugar intake more and more as the years go by. People think finasteride is poison...sugar is the real devil and disguises herself in a sweet delicious form lol

I feel like the nofap thing is almost completely mental. You set out to do a goal that requires willpower and feel good for completing it

My two cents.
I can just say that whenever I fap the top of my head gets very itchy. And no, I am not doing it for 5 hours being all covered in sweat. It happens every time whether it is for 1 minute or 1 hour. The itch is there for about 1/2 hour after. I am not on any fap diet, but does any1 know what could be the reason this itch occurs?

I see people here are fast to label you according to if you are for their little theory or against it. Of course it is just in my head but just for a moment pretend I am not fantasizing, and if someone has to say anything constructive about fapping and scalp itching so I can mark it off my concern list, please do.
