On GSK.com the half-life is between 3 and 5 weeks. (At therapeutic concentrations, the terminal half-life of
dutasteride is 3 to 5 weeks)

Also stated on GSK the half-life increases in the elderly. But this is only single dose testing.

"Administration of a single 5 mg dose of dutasteride. Inthis single dose study, dutasteride half life increased with age (approximately 170 hours
in men aged 20 to 49 years, approximately 260 hours in men aged 50 to 69 years, and
approximately 300 hours in men older than 70 years)"

Can we conclude also that the half-life will be more in the 3 weeks range for young people instead of the 5 weeks?

Anybody on the forum that has some conclusions?

Anybody an insight? Single doses are cleared more rapidly in younger people. When half life is between 3 and 5 weeks an detection between 4 and 6 months why is that. Would a younger person 4 months off be clear of dutasteride and an eldery person after 6 months?
