Hairstyles, what can a NW2-2.5 pull off really well?

If you have looked at my success story thread, you can see a pretty good view of what my hair is like. It's wavy/dark brown and I have lost ground around both my temples. I can wear it up with some convincing results, but I feel like I'm sort of trapped in that stage. How about having longer hair? I hear Ashton Kutcher is going bald and looking at his hair is kinda hard to believe, but he has it long and down. I want something that squares my face as best as possible dealing with my temples. What are some great hairstyles for someone with not straight hair and is a NW2 to 2.5ish?

** Please no offense to anyone here who has major hairloss, I would have been a NW3-4 easily now if my treatment didn't work so well for me. I am just trying to recoup my hair as best I can and make it look the best it can. I don't mean to "rub anything in" honestly.

Thanks guys!

SK.

trim the sides short and grow the front and top relatively longer. I get the back cut short too, I have been sporting this hair cut even before my hair loss. :)

I agree. You don't have to go short short, just as long as it's relatively shorter than the top. Works wonders! I got my hair cut today and it looks awesome... it DEFINITELY makes a difference where you go. I got a haircut two months ago and left depressed thinking my hair was worse. This time I talked thoroughly about the top being thin and wanting it to look fuller and I got a great cut. Make sure that the barber/stylist understand your problem - you'd be surprised how many are baffled when having to deal with male pattern baldness sufferers.

I guess that depends on how thin the hair is. If it's come back to a great strength and hairline is the only problem, then yes potentially (as long as hairline is not too bad, yours seems ok). BUT if when long the hair is brittle, thin, etc it's better to keep it a couple of inches long at most I think. Then you can put some gel/wax/product on it to thicken it a bit.

Exactly, it comes down to thickness. My hair is quite long at this point, but still thick on top, and you can't tell I have a less than perfect hairline. When I get out of the shower I just towel dry my hair, and then run gel through it and sorta let that sit and then blowdry it and straighten it out. Keeps the style in place plus gives it some style and life, and works great.

I try to keep the sides longer and comb them forward, then keep the top cropped...
