Well I'm a Norwood 2 / 2.5 and I currently sport a similar style to Anakin in Star Wars Ep. III and Jim from Punk'd.

I love it. Looks great. Everyone has told me how great it looks too and I've been getting a lot more luck with the ladies with it for some reason.

Give it a shot.

Jefsss, What he means by "styles like Ceaser" is styles that conceal hairloss.

Ceaser had a little hairloss trouble and he concealed it by combing it all forward like those Empire officers on the Death Star in Star Wars.

That particular style is not recommended though. I mean, take a look at the guy in the middle:

There are a few great hairstyles for NW2-3's...

THE CLOONEY (circa From Dusk Til Dawn)
Sorta like a caesar. Cropped short, same length all over and brushed messily forward to cover some of the receding parts. Great if your recession is a little more advanced. Not a straight fringe line like the caesar, so there is a natural shape to the front.

THE WILL ARNETT (from Arrested Development)
For guys that like a bit of length to their hair, grow it out and brush it back. Don't even try to conceal the recession. Works well if you're a NW3, but with hair still relatively thick in the non-receding parts. This is also the Jack Nicholson and Christian Slater, I guess.

THE EDWARD NORTON (from Fight Club)
The good old-fashioned side-part. The side-part has made a huge comeback recently and a lot of male models sport it too. If your frontal density is reasonably dense, then you can get away with covering your recession very well. Come close to a caesar, but follows more of a sloped angle. You can do a lot more with the fringe too, like brushing it up a little or keeping it slightly messy. Works better with a NW2 than an NW3 though.

THE JUDE LAW (from everything he's been in)
Grow it out, mess it up and sweep it forward. Works better with reasonable density of course, and helps if your recession has taken more of a V shape.

Long hair is great if you have good density all over in the non-receded spots.

But if you're generally thin or limp up top, then long hair looks ridiculous.

I used to work with a guy who insisted on keeping his long hair pulled right back as it receded.

Over 2-3 years, he went from a NW3 to a NW5. Last time I saw him, he was still growing these sparse wisps of hair from the top and front and pulling them back in a ponytail.
