Hair transplants are a funny one. They're not a simple fix at all, and you need to have a sufficient donor area and jump onto Finasteride to make it work long term.
Even if you had an amazing donor area there are limits to the density they can pack in. (less than mature).
But it is your real hair. You can jump into a pool with less worrying or later maintenance. You can do anything you want to.. Just so long as you stay on the drugs.
I'd consider one if I had the donor area for it quite honestly. I think the result cosmetically would be worse but you get that back in freedom.

There is HUGE amount of information on this on the web, GOOGLE is your friend.
It's about managing expectations, and doing what is right for you. Lots of guys from here (Israel) are doing the cheap, 3K Euro package deals, and coming back, only to realize they need 2 or 3 more surgeries, and will never look good.
You are still moving hair from one place to another... not getting MORE hair.
