Well I didn't want to post this yesterday because I thought it might be a fluke, but for 3 days in a row now my shedding has gone from about 100 hairs to only about 5 or 6.

I'm so happy.

I've been on Propecia (finasteride) for about 2 and a half months, Nizoral for 1 month, dermol for 1month, and TGel for 1month. If you want to know more specific details about my routine just ask.

I'm not sure what is making it stop fall out, but I'd say its the propecia. I'm going to start taking proscar and cut it into 5ths, this will save me a heap of money. Doing this I may be able to add Rogain (Min) to my daily routine.

I was shedding about 100hairs a day for about a year, now its only been about 3-4 hairs a day for the last 3 days. Heres hoping I can maintain it. I'll keep you guys updated.

Thanks heaps HairLossTalk.com, and to all the people that answered my questions.

Hey Stokes, hope your success continues... I've been on finasteride coming up to 2 months now, and I've noticed an increase in loss just recently... I'm guessing this is my shed time.

In your time on propecia did you see an increase in loss before it got better, or did it stay the same throughout, and then just slow down considerably?

Thanks to you stokes for listening to the advice! That in itself is rare!

Expect the shedding to return but ride it out. Its a roller coaster of good and bad weeks for pretty much the first 6 to 8 months. Expect it and hang in there. Keep using the nizoral.

Awesome....That's just about when I noticed my fall out coming to a halt. Exactly the same way too....One day clumps of hair the next day like 10-20...It still may fluctuate a bit in the next couple of days but sounds like the finasteride is doing its thing. Congrats.

I think my shedding has been constant for about a year and I've been on propecia for about 3months. Now the last 3 days my shedding has slowed down heaps.

Thanks for the warning's guys.

While my initial reaction is to be offended, after reconsideration I must say that I feel sorry for you, hopewas. Your antisocial comments seem to stem from a self pity and misery that has endured since you first came to this site.

zzz..antisocial? i'm not the one who lives their life here and doesn't have a life to go to in reality. just because i say the truth for me in my history on this board, don't hate on me for that. i'm not the lonely one here who planned to get all the board members here to fly to one state and meet. that's truly sad. cassin and HairLossTalk.com are the only ones whose advice i listened to and works. everyone's else advice didn't do sh*t for me and are based on hearsay

Me too, and his attempt at responding to that has just proved flux's point.
