Is HairLossTalk.com still selling S5? A post from another forum claimed that HairLossTalk.com's spironolactone came from *******.com. And *******.com I guess is either not selling anything anymore or they're not selling spironolactone. Is this true?
Also, I'm between a N1-N2. Slow thinning hair since early 20's. It's recently ramped up just a bit. Will spironolactone help with Folligen/nizoral and maybe down the road a couple of months Rogaine? I've read it helps maintain with those who are only slowly balding. Which got me excited a bit. But then I just read this:
It's a waste of money but not coz of its short half life.spironolactone's metabolites have a half life for about 12 hours a day.spironolactone as a cream just cannot achieve the effectiveness of high doses taken orally. You won't need to take oral spironolactone for every 2 hours to have an anti androgenic effect on your system, twice a day will suffice...but the cream or lotion won't be enough to make spironolactone serve as an anti androgen, that's coz spironolactone isn't a pure AA.It doesn't even have much anti androgenic effect at normal oral doses that are taken for its main purpose,as a diuretic.
True? Partly true?
Last thing, I whole heartedly believe that the majority of my hair loss is due to nicotine. Any tips for that, working on quitting but are there any remedies or success stories otherwise?
