sup guys

about 2 years ago i did a cycle of accutane and my hairline pretty much went to **** on it. i had a pretty good hairline before that, no thinning or receding whatsoever.

i think it changed my hair structure/DNA aswell. it became very thin and I started losing hair everywhere (even on my asscrack/random bodyhair etc, pretty ****ing weird).

my hairline still hasnt recovered yet and i doubt it ever will fully recover. strangely enough i havent really receded at all, its pretty much all (diffuse?) thinning/random hairloss all over my scalp. im thinking it might be telogen effluvium but its kinda weird its been going on for so long.

how big are the chances of my hairline fully recovering? and does it mean i am actually prone to male pattern baldness? afaik this wasn't caused by any hormone fluctuations or whatever. (accutane is pretty much just a very high dose of vitamin A)

lastly, i was thinking of doing a cycle of testosterone for 12 weeks (for bodybuilding purposes). could this actually help me regrow my hair? (this is just a random thought and have no science to back this up whatsoever)

accutane can lower ur testosterone/HGH/IFG-1 levels so i was thinking it could actually be beneficial for repair and whatnot, either that or i will get an even ****tier hairline lol. what do u guys think?

I think you should get full labwork before messing with steroids . Spend the $150 on full lab work instead of steroids . Also do you know what a pct is ?

Same boat your are in. I took accutane july of 2013 it was my second course because my acne relapsed, ever since its been 7 months post accutane my hairloss slowed down but it destroyed my hairline and caused it to miniaturize. My hair also feels more weak and wispy now, still hoping i recover. My derm says it could spark male pattern baldness.

I was on Accutane for 7-8 months when i was 17 and it cleared my face but soon after my hair started thinning at the front gradually.
I don't blame it on Accutane but I did begin to notice hair thinning and frontal hair loss about 2 months after quitting. I
Remember havinga lot of scalp itch when out in the sun and little electric shocks around my whole body.

Still love accutane for getting rid of my severe acne

[h=1]Evaluation of biophysical skin parameters and assessment of hair growth in patients with acne treated withisotretinoin.[/h]The reduction in the skin sebum levels was observed after the treatment. There was dryness of the skin, which was confirmed bybiophysical skin parameter measurements. Changes in the hair growth parameters showed telogen effluvium hair loss.
