Im 18 years old and my hairline seems to be receding at an incredible rate. I shouldn't have to deal with this bull**** at my age. I've been using 1.25mg generic finasteride for the past 40 days and regain foam on hairline for the past 2 months. My hair used to be crazy thick, every time i went to the hairdresser they would comment on how hard my hair is to cut cause its so thick and now thin as hell. Is there anything else i can do to stop my hairloss?

After: (only about 40 days) http://postimg.org/gallery/d4tyyr24/

Hey man, Your hair still looks good, but you're right, one temple not sure if left or right, is noticeably receded. Other than that side, your hair looks great, and the other temple looks very passable, same with the hairline. You're taking the best possible meds available so, unless you're interested in researching dutasteride, I would say stay the course for 6-12 months and see if it has stabilized. Maybe finasteride shed some hair, and it will grow back that particular shedded area.

not what I'd call "receeding at an incredible rate". I'd call it very mild recession. There are NW6's here at your age.

for my age this is pretty bad, the worse thing is it keeps getting worse! i would be fine with my hair if it stayed like that but i have to watch it recede day by day! it literally kills me inside

I am the same age and mine is only ever so slightly better, it really isn't that bad and if the loss is recent it is possible to regrow especially if you go hard with a regimen. Don't mess about with fancy creams and green tea, check what actually works and then go for the most effective treatment.

It might cause a shed, meaning that you would lose more hair than usual for a while. Look up Dutasteride shedding. But then if everything goes well hairs will grow in after a few more months and you will have a lower thicker hairline than before you started treatment.
