About Eucapil. It's a topical anti-androgen, meaning it will block the follicle androgen-receptors dht & testosterone uses to signal your follicles to minituarise. I don't know how much hair you're losing a day, but if it is more than normal you should see a decrease within a matter of weeks, which is one of the reasons I think it's a good idea to try it out if you don't like the idea of using finasteride. Because you can gauge it's effectiveness very quickly and thus don't run the risk of spending your cash for 6 months or more before making a judgement.
Where do I get the idea that it should work within weeks? This what they claim on their site, and the reports from people using it all confirm this is true. If you go to their site's faq page - http://www.eucapil.com/xhtml_en/eucapil.shtml - you will probably notice their explanations/claims are rather balanced. They don't promise to cure your male pattern baldness, which certainly helps in the credibility department as far as I'm concerned. They also make references to their clinical data, which I haven't been able to access unfortunatly. I doubt however that most finasteride-users have gone through the trouble of looking at the clinical reports from Merck.
You wouldn't need to worry about systemic effects from Fluridil, because it is designed to break down when it comes in contact with water (your bloodstream). This does mean it has to be applied on a dry scalp and preferably before bed (to avoid rain ...).
I will be using Fluridil in the near future myself, 5 times a week for the first 2 weeks and then once every 2 days after that (saving money that way). I think it wil probably be just as effective that way because the androgen receptors (which are proteins) take about 48 hours to renew themself and then need to be blocked again. I will post on how it works out for me.
How could you give that kind of advice?!
Your the kind of guy I listened to 5 months ago. "Dont try finasteride, it'll totally screw up your hormones and youll get everything from tits to possible bone decay, impotence, worse hair, blah, blah, blah..."
In turn, I wasted months in treatment to save my hair.
So now your saying that Flluridil is sfe and it works in weeks because the web site says so?
What is it about the words double blind, placebo, clinical trials and FDA approval, that you dont understand? Yet you are willing to try a totally unproven method (Fluridil) and even suggest it to someone else?
Hold off on dishing out any more advice untill you do a little more research. I wish I had NEVER listed to guys like you months ago because finasteride and minoxidil are absolutly helping out my situation.
