You’re one one MANY guys on this site who has started a treatment (usually finasteride), got spooked from the shed so started another drug - each one more potent then the previous and all for the sake of vanity - because let’s face it bro, you had a decent amount of hair and didn’t need finasteride yet, neither did I.
When you start finasteride you must give the drug time to work, and if you can’t handle the possibility of a shed then don't even start.
You need to be patient and you are impatient.
How can you even be considering estradiol? It’s almost laughable.
This hairloss game is like gambling, once we lose we won’t stop until you make back those gains, but the reality is that doesn’t happen so you end up on tranny drugs out of desperation.

Either stay on these drugs and pray your shed grows back,
or quit those drugs and pray that your hair grows back.
I opted for the latter and after 5.5 months I’m feeling grateful I did.
But for gods sake don’t add oral min, estradiol.... because you’re really going to regret that down the line. You’re already inhibiting DHT with finasteride, and worse now, dutasteride...

Just quit. You’ll get some hair back, and you’ll be a lot healthier too.

Using duta and fina is quite common on this forum, its nothing that extreme. Since adding duta ive felt nothing. Ive been on fina 5months duta 3 still no improvement plus using minoxidil

Never heard of estradiol for hairloss. Is there any research behind it?

Don’t listen to him . He spouts off dangerous advice . He’s telling him to basically use estrogen . Unlike some members the vast majority of us want to healthy men without growing a set of tits.

Its not just going to suddenly go back to baseline.
Also since taking the meds i feel i have no oil production in my hair. Isnt that bad, surely healthy hair needs a normal amount of oil production from the sebum glands to grow?

So quit the drugs then, if that’s what you believe.

I dont know thats why im asking.
You don’t listen to previous posts mate.
finasteride is a gamble - it can destroy your hair. I’m not entirely sure why. Increased testosterone or perhaps a telogen effluvium caused by the hormonal imbalance. Although Telogen Effluvium is reversible, if DHT is eating away at our follicles during the repeated sheds, you better believe your hair will be annihilated.
Having said that I do believe finasteride works well for many and a shed can be part of the long process.

If finasteride is working for you, no, your hair won’t “suddenly” go back to baseline. The regrowth will take a long time. So it’s a massive gamble - the longer you wait the more your hair gets wrecked, but you need to wait at least a year(supposedly) for regrowth IF you’re a responder. The drug could just be royally f*****g you over.

What I’m telling you, again, is that YOU must decide whether to continue now. Nobody on this forum can tell you what is happening to you or what you should do, or whether or not your hair will grow back.

Personally I believe you made a big mistake adding dutasteride and minoxidil. You should have given finasteride longer so you could evaluate that treatment alone.

Either ride it out and pray you’re a responder,
or quit and be grateful you didn’t lose more.

Testosterone feels high but i dont get the dht itch and i shed much less now but no signs of real regrowth.
I hear what your saying the sudden hormonal change killed my hair in the beginning most likely. I personally think adding duta has helped and i want to drop fina, duta does the same just more 'powerful'. Like you said 1 year is expected time too see whether things are improving so il give it another 6 months

I have same issue. Very little sebum. This was before fina anyway. My limited research has shown that hair does need some sebum to grow normally and healthy.

Wondering if there are ways to increase sebum production.

OP you have to remember finasteride decreases scalp DHT by about 60% . There is still almost half the DHT still in your scalp (depending genetically how much 5ar you have in your scalp of the 3 types of its enzyme) along with all the test still - simply put finasteride for some just isn’t enough to stop the damage being done to allow the body to repair.

There aren’t ways to increase sebum production, but you can use lightweight oils on your scalp. Or even scalp serums, such as the ordinarys multi-peptide serum or whatever it’s called...

You have less oils because of decreased androgens . More androgens = more oils

Less scalp oil could mean there’s less androgenic activity happening, who knows?

You mean, the only people who add interest to this website? Must hurt to be jealous of the regrowth, though!
If I get regrowth I’ll be back to my juvenile hairline at 32. I don’t need it. I made that mistake once already for the sake of vanity. I’m entertained by you nutters.

I can imagine this is the most attention you’ve had in your entire life my young balding friend.

I would suggest you and your boyfriend DHTcel work on your mental health problems and try forget about your hair for a while.

I’ve not seen your barnet, but your fella has decent hair...

His regime though —>Bicalutamide 100mg, Dutasteride 0.5mg, Raloxifine 60mg

Couple of loons dishing out very bad advice on a daily...

Why don’t you stop spending money on your regime and start buying food - anorexia will hinder your hair gainzzz
