So a few days back I went to the barbers and spoke to her about my receding hairline before getting a haircut. She had a good rummage about and concluded it's not male pattern baldness because she sees re-growth on the very hairline and the temple. 'Small, baby like hairs'. I thought this was hairs miniaturizing? She suggests that the hair follicle would simply fall out if male pattern baldness was involve. I'm not sure what to make of this? Are miniaturized hairs visible to the naked eye, or could this be regrowth?

thanks

I think she's probably wrong, could be vellous hairs. (ie miniturising).

Its probably male pattern baldness.

There would be no "regrowth", if there wasnt a loss first. But anyway the minaturizing hairs look the same as growing hair, so it can be confusing how much progress you are making with a regime.
