How long does it take for it to heal?

Are you saying they can make the scar from the donor area much less visible or noticeable (if you shave your head of course...obviously you can't see it if you grow the hair of that area out)? Just thought about this...if people can't shave their heads b/c of the donor scar, could they get transplants back into the donor scar to make it look like nothing was ever taken from that area? Of course it couldn't be a strip transplant again or you'll have another donor scar. Possibly be done with FUE or another less evasive procedure. Or is a full shave of the head or crewcut out of the question with any type of hair transplantation?

The scar stays pink for a while but after about 6 months starts to turn white.
Mine can hardly be seen anymore under close inspection. Later on you can get FUE implanted into the scar if there are any problems with growth. I haven't had any problems.

I just got a hair transplant a few months ago, and already my scar is hardly detectable, even with the buzzcut. My entire family and I are amazed. My surgeon did an amazing job. He recommended using a #2 guard on the clippers, but I've shaved it with no guard and it's still very hard to tell. This was a huge concern for me, because I have a Black barber who gives me the "fade" style haircut that mostly Black and Hispanic guys wear. This style makes the top look thicker. I'm very grateful for my barber, he works magic with the clippers and makes my thinning much less aparent.
