Hello everyone!
I am a 24 year old blonde Danish man that has suffered from hair loss for about 3 years now. This has also been the situation on my fathers side earlier.
Currently it is something between Norwood 2 and 3.
I was wondering about if you could help me with a couple of questions:
Is it recommended to take finasteride or any other medications after a hair transplant procedure in my situation? I am asking because I have taken it for about 1 year and it has definitely worked, but I feel it troubles my "emotions" by making me generally little happy in life and the "mood swings" have generally been very small after a couple of months after i started to take it.
How long do you expect it would go before I need a second transplant if I stop taking finasteride? Can this be prevented for a long time by doing a larger transplant now where the hair expected to fall of for the next years be replaced with new from the donor area?
I do hear from hair dressers I have a very solid donor area, how much can this improve my whole hair situation? Would it for example be possible to live with good amount of hair for a couple of decades without taking finasteride?
Thank you very much for your answers.
