Hi! I’m sharing my day 1 post op experience in Korea with everyone. I thought about getting a hair transplant for a really long time before finally deciding to do it. I had also read comments from other people saying the anesthesia could be painful, so I was pretty nervous about that. But one of the nurses handed me a plush pillow doll, which honestly made me laugh and helped me relax a lot.
During the surgery, the doctor checked the condition of my remaining donor area and said it looked pretty good, which made me feel even more hopeful and excited about the results.
After the procedure, I followed the instructions by spraying the solution regularly and keeping my head elevated while resting. Since I had to come back the next day for a follow up appointment, the clinic also helped arrange a nearby hotel, which made things much more comfortable.
The next morning when I woke up and got ready to head back to the clinic, I noticed the bandage around my head was pretty tight and saw a little blood on my pillow and blanket. I was a bit worried at first, but thankfully it turned out to be nothing serious.
Later at the clinic, before removing the bandage, the nurse warned me that it might hurt because it had stuck a bit. I got nervous again, but she removed it very slowly and carefully, so it was actually much better than I expected and barely uncomfortable.
That’s pretty much my surgery day and first follow up experience so far. I’ll keep updating my progress and hopefully everything grows in well.
