Hair transplant, 4500 grafts is it enough?

I'm thinking about a hair transplant. what do you think about 4500-5000 grafts? the crown of the head may be bald, I am more interested in going from the front to the back. I will want to grow longer hair. Sorry for my English.

minoxidil + needling could be an alternative, check the big thread.

But if I was you, just get another transplant if the rest of your hair goes. Unless your donor zone is crap, you'll need to talk about that with your transplant surgeon to see how good your donor is.

If I understood you correctly, your main goal was to get as much coverage as possible from the front toward the back, and you would be okay if the crown area stayed a little thinner. In that case, 4,500–5,000 grafts could make a noticeable difference, but nobody can really say whether it is enough just from photos. It depends on the size of the area, donor density, hair thickness, number of hairs in each graft, hairline position and the kind of density you expect. For a large area, focusing more grafts on the front and mid-scalp can often give a stronger overall look than spreading them too thinly everywhere. If you also wanted full crown coverage, the same number of grafts would have to cover a much larger area, so the density would naturally be lower. The donor area should also be planned carefully with future hair loss in mind. Since this post is a few years old now, did you eventually have the transplant? It would be interesting to know how many grafts were used, which areas were treated and how it looks today.
