Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and I'm looking for some opinions to my mysterious hairloss. Back in October I started noticing my hair was thinner on the sides than usual. I kept an eye on it and no joke within a week I realized my entire scalp was thinning all over. When I got out of the shower I like to slick my hair back but when I do I can now see my scalp. My hairline isn't really receding, my dad has a full head of hair at 53 and my brother is 4 years older than me and has a ton of hair. My hair has always been thick, it still grows fast and long, it's just abnormally thinning and very quickly. I do notice a few hairs on my hands in the shower and whenever I run my fingers through my hair a few fallout. I went to a Dermatologist and he said it was Telogen Effluvium but he didn't even look at my hair or do any tests. It's been 5 month now and I don't see any regrowth and no obvious triggers. Blood test came back normal. I'm a 22 yo male btw! Can anyone relate to this? I know Telogen Effluvium is more common with women but all my symptoms point towards it, if I lift my hair on any part of my head you can see scalp underneath where as before you couldn't?!

Head and shoulders sucks for hair man... get nizoral or keto shampoo. Your hair looks good quality but your scalp looks bad.

Nizoral shampoo 3 times a week and something natural or gentle inbetween like capasal

If I did have Telogen Effluvium, would something like Rogaine help to boost the regrowth and then I could discontinue use? Or would that do more damage than good?
