Hair system on top with smp on side

I haven’t found anyone that’s done it, but if my sides are way too thin for a natural looking hair system can I get smp on the side with new temples and keep the sides shaved will it look good?

Some have done it - my previous salon even advertise the service. You need some hair to supplement it though; it would look weird without any.
