Hi All,

I think I have found a good salon that can give me hair system once every month. They said that if the hair is not dense, I may need 6 systems a year but if it is thick, then 4 systems a year. Each system would cost $800 plus tax and around $85 monthly maintenance. No contracts or obligations! The piece according to them is Indian hair as they said Indian hair is better for men and it would take only a week for the piece to arrive after ordering. They recommended that I start with the light piece, not the thick system so that nobody could notice in the beginning that I have a piece. I felt really comfortable at that place and the woman was very confident of their results. But, $800 is too much for a hair piece that I could get online. Could you please advise me folks how I could get the same hair they get online, so that I can save half or more than what the piece costs there? The lady there told me that I am not obligated with their own pieces and they do offer maintenance services only.

I hope I could explain myself and thank you

I've had it at Bosley like a year ago and paid $11k on it with very poor results. Unfortunately, now I have a permanent scar which I need to tattoo it somewhere so that I can have the haircut that I want. IF anyone is planning to get a hair transplant surgery at Bosley or anywhere, I recommend that you do NOT.

Hi Rasam. Sorry to hear about your transplant fail.

You can get excellent quality hair systems on the Internet for around US$ 200 - 250. If you can get your local place to do cut-ins for you and help you with maintenance, and maybe do the initial template, that would be a very good outcome. You don't need 8 units a year. I am fine with 2.5 a year. You might find they will want to charge you a bit more for maintenance if you are not buying the systems from them.

I will send you a PM with some suggestions for suppliers (don't want to do anything that could look like advertising on the public forum).
