Hair system blending with thinning natural hair on the sides

Hi all,
I have been using a hair system for a few months now, and it has been a very positive experience. However, I'm worried that it is not blending as well as I'd like, as my natural hair on the sides is growing thin and frizzy, while the hair system's are straight and thick. If I grow my sides longer, I'm afraid it will be more evident as the hair is very curly/frizzy. I cannot cut it much shorter either as I have the scar of a hair transplant.
Any suggestions? Either styling tips or products would be welcome.
Thanks!

Purchase thinning shears, to better blend.

I think stock pieces should be a bit wavier to better blend w most people's hair.

I don't like blending so I wear a 7x9, which is a bit bigger than my balding area.

I just buzz my bio hair down.
