Hair System Advice Questions - Where In London Should I Go?

Hi, after lurking on this site for a while I have decided to take the plunge and ask for some advice.

I have got to the point where I have accepted that it might be time to go for a Hair System. I have seen the amazing marketing that Quif & Co have put out and I was wondering if anyone on here can advise me on some questions I have?

- Which companies are best to use in the London area? Price isn't really an issue for me as long as the result is realistic and doesn't look too 'wiggy'

- I am looking for a company which does the full package, so consultation, fitting, cutting in, styling etc and aftercare so I can learn how to maintain it properly. This is really important for me as if I am going down this route I want it to be a long term solution.

- How long does the process typically take from consultation to fitting?

- What styles, density work best for a more realistic look?

- How often will I need to replace my system? I am quite active, I socialise and go on holiday a lot, is this going to affect the system?

- Is it best to take the plunge before a holiday or a big event or is that risky if something goes wrong?

I would be grateful for any experiences you have had as I am pretty much a novice and I don't know where to begin.

Hi Steve,

I will PM you with the company that I work with, they have a branch that is based in the "W" in London.

Quiff and Co., offer a product that is no better than the average full-service company at a much much higher price. It's a gimmick.

Depending on when you order (Chinese New Year has an effect on delivery times), it can be anywhere from 10-14 weeks.

Most decent companies will help you do your own maintenance.

Styles and density are based on your age, remaining bio hair, and certain limitations of hair systems. A good company will work with you for you to get the maximum, realistic, and desired effect.

Depending on what type of base material, 2-6 months. My French lace system is on six, and it looks good.

Coming back from a long holiday is always a good option. Some guys shave off existing facial hair or grow new facial hair as an offset (I didn't, just got a beard trim). It depends on how extensive your baldness is. The more drastic the change, the more obvious. I went from slick bald to growing out my side hair, to a 14" Viking style.
