So my hair is not only thinning but it has stopped growing after growing out about 2 inches from the scalp. The hair on my sides grow out at a normal rate but the hair on top has stopped at 2 inches and wont grow any longer. Is anybody else experiencing this? Is there anything I can do or is the problem out of my hands at this point?

I have. Started using powdered msm, biotin, and nioxin vits. Of course, along with reducing dht with an internal dht reducer (spironolactone, saw palmetto EXTRACT). Try them, I've tried EVERY-THING and these 3 work.

Oh also, find some way to reduce your dht levels. That's whats really keeping your hair from growing. Using a keto 2% shampoo topically will help. And using minoxidil will help also. Won't remove dht but will make it grow.

Thx rw. I currently use finasteride and minoxidil but I haven't tried nizoral yet. I think I'm going to start that soon hopefully it helps out.

Yeah nothing works as well as when I use nizoral on a reg basis. Without it I really do shed alot more. With it, it seems to help on it's own and really supports the other things.

Also don't underestimate MSM. I use this stuff daily and every day that I do, my shedding is reduced by a whopping HALF! Needless to say, I use it DAILY!

Also (don't laugh. I did. Then as the years progressed and my hair stopped growing, became desperate. Tried it. And it grows my hair like weeds when I use it frequently). Monistat. You heard me. The active ingredient in it works! It's the cousin of Nizoral 2%'s active ingredient ketoconazole. Check into it.

Whats MSM?????
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methylsulfonylmethane

basically, sulfur

I use Trimedica Pure MSM
http://www.trimedica.com/Top-Sellers/products/24/

For most, you must start with a LOW LOW DOSE say 250mg and drink with a glass or 2 glasses of water.

Some take 4 and 5 g. Some 3 some 2 some 1. I can see a 50% reduction in my shedding at 1g. Of course I take an low dose oral anti androgen, saw palmetto, and use nizoral once or twice a week. i can't say what msm will do alone.
