ok, i've got a few questions about the size of the individual hairs.
1.along my hairline i have some shorter hairs. my hair is about 2" long, but these hairs are up to maybe from 1/3 of an inch to one inch long. however, they aren't thinner. just shorter. when i look at the hairs i lose, they are pretty much as thick as the longer hairs i lose, but they are shorter. the root is identical to the longer hairs, but the tip 'fades out' instead of a short stop. that's probably because the longer hairs were cut the last time i got my hair cut.
my question is, is this normal? are these shorter hairs along the hairline common? i'm a nw2 i guess.
2. do hairs vary in thickness across the entire head or just the ones you lose? i compared some of the hairs from the back of my head(safe area?) and some of the shorter and there was no pattern. in fact, the thinner hairs were from the back of my head. i always thought when you lost hair, the hairs themselves became thinner.
