after 3 haircuts 2 of them on 0 i can honestly say rogaine regrown hair is crap, when you trim it its gone and leaves compleatly bald areas, thats what it did with my temples, after haircut, its not like your regular hair that is strong and you can trim. rogaine hair is kinda like an hair transplant hair, long and unstable, like its not really inside your scalp but more on it.

You need to add finasteride. I understand you, because I had the same experience with 10-15% minoxidil. Few thick hairs, but dozens of thin, barely pigmented hairs in my temples. Things changed in late May this year, when the weak hairs suddently turned into thick ones. but the funny thing is that I don't know, what was the trigger. I started to use Nizoral and I was also using a dermastamp. In any case, another huge jump came in August, after 6 weeks on finasteride. That was the biggest change that I have ever seen!

Mine is black and he covering the area, but just feels soo weak and fuzzy and breakable and not thick and strong like the rest. And like I said when I trim it it just leaves bald areas there and take like 2-3 weeks to grow again

You're not going to get fast, thick and dark hair regrowth straight away. It takes time. Hair doesn't just start growing thick and full. Look at your body hair; it didn't just one day sprout thick and dark. It started thin, fluffy and slowly got thicker. Hair loss treatment is similar because the follicle needs to get healthier and bigger.

However, minoxidil isn't a miracle treatment. It works for many people but it has limits. If you don't get results within a year (Rogaine recommends just 4 months with the foam) then it might not be the right treatment for you.

It took me about 3 - 4 months to see any results.

After 3months of Minoxidil treatment i was getting regrowth, which could be best described as weak and transparent. However after 6months a lot of this hair turned thicker. I was on Finasteride as well.
One tip that works for me is to dye your hair darker. A lot of the transparent hairs that i have regrown courtesy of Minoxidil treatment suddenly look a lot denser once they have a bit of colour on them.
what hairdye do you use? every hairdye i've ever used made my hair itch and shed...

this is basically why I never thought minoxidil was worth using. For all the money and effort and discomfort you put in to using it, there's usually very little payoff

Works fine for me. My hair grew long and full. It just takes time.It depends on how your natural hair grows. If you were a bald baby or had thin hair has a baby, then it means your natural hairs are thin so its going to take awhile to grow thickness. The new hair that is growing is just that, NEW HAIRS. No expect for it to look like the rest right away. Given that it actually is regrowing your hair, stick with it.
