Different regrowth/loss at the sides of the scalp
Friends;
My intention when I talked about this matter was only to try to give a possible explanation. The difference regrowth and loss in one side of the head and the other one is not remarkably noticable, but there are many statements of different people reporting this, apart from yours.
I just tried to expose my point of view, but I may be wrong and maybe the explanation is just due to the androgens and genetics :freaked2: .
I am quoting some similar reports for your information only.

I am sure it happens. At first my hair line was receding on the right side
only. Then my leftside started to recede years later. My rightside is still
worse. Right Now I am a Norwood 2 on my right side and a Norwood 1.5 on my left

It very common to have asymmetric recession of the hairline. If one who has
this undergoes hair grafting it is important to ignore the asymmetry &
place grafts as if there were no hairline present in order to get the best
long term result.

Post: starting to lose scalp hair, in Sepetember 8, 2000.
In the past three weeks, though, I've experienced some really noticeable
thinning at the front of my scalp, especially the left side (there's
that left side again!).

7 Month update.... in October, 7, 2000.
I have been on Propecia for about 7 months now. For the first 4 months
things seemed like they were going to be okay. After month 4 my hair
has continued to fall faster than it has grown back. My hair line has
lost almost an inch now on the left side and the right at about 1/2 an
inch or less.

Re: Electrical accupunture treatments. Wanna try?, in November, 18, 2000.
Oh and I almost forgot to say,
my right side seems to stimulate much better than left. And my right
side (temple) also grows hair better than left.
I don't know if it's coincidental but anyway.

Re: Propecia-My 1 year results, December, 14, 2000.
I also had uneven thinning while using Propecia for several months.
Left temple receded while the right temple did not.
Not sure if it was a result of the Propecia.
Either way, it didn't stop or slow my overall hairloss.

Well this is really weird, i just noticed that my thining in the back has
gone a litt further but not as normal thining goes. The top back of my head
has gotton thin in kinda a hourshoe way, but whats weird is that on the
top-back right side it like the hair is almost gone while on the top-back
left side it just thin like it was before. sorta like a small circle on the
top-back right while the top-back left it just a line. Is this weird shot
normal, this just doesn't seem right.

Question for Dr Proctor , September, 02, 2001
My name is Rickey and I am a 23 year old male. Within the past year
and a half I have begun to noticed thinning on the left side of my
head …
First I was only experiencing thinning on ONE SIDE of my head, and I have never seen
anyone suffering from male pattern baldness on only one side of their head, it always seems symmetrical

Intriguing phenomenon, April, 04, 2002
Not only is the right side of my scalp receding and thinning faster
than the left but the right side of my face is aging faster also.
This is especially visible around the eye area where wrinkles and
"crow's feet" near the eye's corner are deeper and more visible.
I also have noticeably more grey hair on the right than the left
temple area.
All I can think of is
(1) Whenever I sleep on my side (which is often), it's mostly on my
left side.
Possible explanation: the chronic pressure caused by sleeping on the
left side causes the local tissue to release some hair growth factor.
(2) Whenever I use the phone (cell=33%, cordless=66% or plain old=1%
), I always hold it to my right ear.
Possible explanation: RF energy induced oxidative stress to local
tissue.
Anyone else notice this kind of pattern?
Regards.

Is it normal to have more hair on one side of the head ?
I actually have much more hair on my left side , this looks kinda stupid
because you can easily see it..
It seems like my left side have respondent better to the treatments I have
used.

I have nothing to report yet. Two days ago I was about to purchase a
single pointer from the site that I mentioned several days ago but got
stuck over which one to choose:-I --- I will do it hopefully today.
Thank you for that laser-show si(gh)Telogen Effluvium

. For now I plan to 'focus'
on giving a single red pointer a shot over a small (and the only)
problematic area on my right side (the part that I sleep on) with one
goal in mind- to see if laser has any effect at all. Will let you
know.

Is anyone using his currently or have they in the past? any results? I've
noticed that my right side of my hairline and right-side in general is worse
than my left side and I've been thinking about using his formula to see if i
can "catch-up".

It might be the case that there's some sort of anatomical cause.

Most growth is on my crown, very little so far at hairline - but we'll see!
It's also strange my left temple is far more advanced than my left...

The right side of my hairline has receded
noticably further than my left side and I was curious if this is normal or
to be expected.

Re: Question sbout regrowth on oz brew, 28, June,2004
My experience has been somewhat similar. I've also been
on the brew for about 4 months now. For some reason, my right temple has
responded really well to the brew and has grown in nicely. The left temple,
however, has become much worse and is more diffuse now than when I started.
