Hello,
I'm still in the process of figuring out whether I'm actually losing my hair or just neurotic, and I was wondering: does anyone know what's a normal amount of hair to have on your pillow in the morning or in the comb after brushing your hair? Thanks for your help.

Mean of 34.23 with a standard deviation of 10.23.

Seriously, it can vary. Trying to make sense of it is not healthy for your sanity. Rather, pick up a couple of the hairs and see if they are thinning and/or losing color from the tip to the root. This is a better indicator.

But still, if you think you're losing your hair, you probably are. Get on finasteride.

Dont count hairs on your pillow, comb, sink or wherever just concentrate on how the hair on your head looks. IE if you can see visible thinning/recession. Some women lose dozens everyday but they're not going bald.
