Hair Loss/thinning On Sides, Opinions?

Hey guys, newbie here

I've been paranoid about losing my hair for a while, but never seen any extreme signs of male pattern baldness for the most part. I'm a 21 year old male, and have seemingly good genetics for balding (my father passed away in his late 50s but still had a full head hair with only some slight thinning, and my mother's father/uncles all still have hair, even at 84 years old, albeit whispy and white).

Recently I started noticing some thinning going on around the sides of my head. Not so much at the temples as usual, but more on the underside of the sides (above the ear), which can be seen in the pics below.
My crown is still full and I have no sings of balding there, but the sides seem a lot thinner than everywhere else. It also appears that the right side is thinner than the left.

Has anyone heard of this pattern of balding before? Or could it be something else?
Any opinions would be appreachiated!

You can try putting minoxidil there and see if it helps but there's nothing else you can do.

I think it's normal on men.

I have the same thin sides. I just comb it so it looks good

show us your nipples. :D
Man you are good. I have similar stuff going on, my hair density on sides is different then on top. You would expect to have thicker hair on sides, but guess what? I don't.
