I have just joined the forum and wanted to share a positive story about Finisteride. I've suffered male pattern baldness quite badly for the last four years. I'm 35 now and this accelerated in 2013.
I had tried minoxidil and had success with growing some hair back but I stopped a year ago and my hair just all fell out in the middle. I decided to start 1mg Finisteride and 5% minoxidil and like a miracle, I've had a lot of new growth. These pictures are 6 weeks apart. I have just taken to the pills with no side effects and there has been definite new growth. You might wonder if I had another issue that may have contributed, but I definitely don't and any new hair has been a direct result from the treatment.
I started on 0.5mg of Finisteride for one week with minoxidil twice a day.
I moved up to 1mg Finisteride from week two. I wanted to see if I did encounter side effects. Other than that I use nothing else. My hair was fraying and in bad condition. Now it's become soft and bunching up again. I'm really surprised I've had such good results. The two definitely work together.
